Our constant concern to find areas that best reflect the aromas and flavors of each of our varieties has led us to diversify our fruit production among different valleys inside Chile's boundaries. "When we are developing our wines, the most important thing is to understand the nature of the New World, to get to know the valleys thoroughly and promote the varieties according to the specific climatic conditions of each one. To be capable of projecting the aromatic intensity of the fruit, very characteristic of Chile, which has to be harvested at just the right moment to achieve a good concentration of tannins, and so obtain an elegant, well structured wine which offers us a unique experience of daring to enjoy the simplicity of any occasion or company."

JJ Jacinto Jaure Gran Reserva www.jaurewinery.com/   - Argentina

The 2003 JJ Jacinto Jaure Gran Reserva is a blend of Malbec (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%), and Syrah (30%).  The fruit was sourced from a 53 year old vineyard and aged for 18 months in a new French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Purple in color, it has a fragrant bouquet of pain grillé, Asian spices, pencil lead, black cherry, blueberry, and black currant.  Ripe and sweet on the palate, it has plenty of silky tannin well concealed under a blanket of fruit.  Nicely balanced and lengthy, it will evolve for 6-8 years and drink well through 2025.
